Recruitment portal Aasaanjobs has launched recruitment services in the pharmaceutical sector, including for both permanent and contractual job roles. The new roles listed under the new vertical include that of medical representatives, R&D expert, quality control and assurance executives, laboratory analysts etc. Note that Aasaanjobs focuses on blue collared jobs, like for nanny, cashier, content writer, data entry operator, delivery boy, customer care executive, engineer, driver etc., but had recently forayed into the higher margin IT recruitment vertical. Like IT, jobs under pharma also have a higher CTC than the average blue collar jobs, and given Aasaanjobs charges employers a percentage of the CTC of a hired person, it ensures a higher pay cut for the company. With this move, it looks like Aasaanjobs is likely to expand to other verticals as well, officially ending its exclusive focus on blue collar jobs. Aasaanjobs had recently also launched recruitment process outsourcing segment, enabling companies to outsource hiring. The platform competes with companies like Naukri, Times Jobs, Monster India and Quikr which offer recruitment portals. However, Aasaanjobs does offer some additional features like screen and matching candidates and scheduling interviews etc.giving it a slight advantage over competitors. The new feature will work in the same way as other recruitment options, letting users sign up for free to list their profiles. Founded in 2014, the company is currently present in 12 cities including Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata among others. It had raised $5 million in funding in February this year.
