QuikrJobs has launched QuikrJobsPro, an online to offline marketplace for employers and recruitment consultants. The platform will allow employers to post their hiring requirements and decide on the fees they are willing to pay to consultants. It will then automatically find the ‘best fit’ consultants to be assigned to each job opening, and can submit relevant candidate profiles for it. The employers and consultants can track and manage the candidates online till a final hire takes place.
Note that candidates will not directly see job listings, rather only consultants will be assigned to fill them up. As of now the company claims to have employers like dream11, Blackcurrant Apps, Cloudcherry, Exadatum, Fabfresco, and evibe, and consultants like apple pie, Athena Bharatjobs, Careers International, Countrywide Consultants, and Creative Headhunter among others. It only charges fees based on hiring success rather than on signing up.
Recruitment portal Aasaanjobs had also launched a recruitment process outsourcing segment, enabling companies to outsource hiring, just last month. However, in contrast to QuikrJobs, the company has its own recruiters from various industries, rather than letting independent consultants list.
Overall, QuikrJobs competes in the market with the likes of Naukri, Monster India and Times jobs, which offer recruitment portals. Given the tough competition in the sector, it will be interesting to see if the different approach of using human consultants to match up candidates will work better than simple job listings.
