RJio to launch Lyf Wind 3 & Flame 8 exclusively on Flipkart: report

Reliance Jio is planning to launch its Lyf Wind 3 and Lyf Flame 8 smartphones exclusively on Flipkart, reports TechPP. Priced at Rs 6,999 the Wind 3 is the more premium of the two phones, while the Flame 8 is to cost Rs 4,199. Specification wise the Wind 3 features a 5.5 inch 720p display with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It comes with Android 5.1, supports dual SIMs and comes with the free Reliance Jio preview offer. The Flame 8 is a more modest phone at 4.5 inches and featuring 1GB of RAM. However, it has a better front camera of 5MP compared to the Wind 3’s 2MP camera. Note that Jio has already launched a few products this month. Yesterday, we reported the launch of JioFi2, the company’s hotspot device, as well as the Lyf Wind 2, the successor to the Wind 1. The company’s LYF smartphones have also been slowly acquiring market share in terms of shipments, and the company has been indirectly using this reach by bundling data and voice offers with its yet-to-be launched telecom services. Manufacturer tie-ups: In July, Reliance Jio tied-up with Samsung smartphones to extend its preview offer of 3 months of unlimited data and 4,500 minutes of voice calls, unlimited video calls and SMS, and preview access to Jio apps. The company had previously opened its network to the public on an invite-only basis through its employees in May, and those SIM cards worked only with LYF smartphones.…
