Kalaari capital hires for its investment team Kalaari Capital, the venture capital firm has informed of three appointments in its investment and operations teams, reports The Economic Times. The company has hired Prashanth Aluru, a former partner at consulting firm Bain and Company, as a partner; Pooja Gupta, a former human resources head for fashion retailer Myntra as head - portfolio HR; and Muthiah Venkateswaran as a partner for its seed programme Kstart. *** Amazon India hires Fashionara co-founder Arun Sirdeshmukh Amazon India has appointed Fashionara co-founder Arun Sirdeshmukh as the head of its fashion portfolio, reports The Economic Times. Sirdeshmukh joined the company earlier this week. The position has been vacant since Vikas Purohit quit the company last year. Prior to Fashionara, Sirdeshmukh was the CEO of Reliance Trends, the fashion and lifestyle business of Reliance Retail. *** 101India.com hires Times Networks’ Rohit Tugnait 101India.com, a youth-focused content portal has hired Rohit Tugnait as Business Head. He was the National Revenue Head at Zoom for ad sales & branded content as well as revenue functions. At 101India, Tugnait's mandate would be to consolidate and grow the sales operations and build out 101India’s branded content agency.He has over 14 years of extensive media experience, and has been a part of different genres of media selling, from print to TV and digital. He has also been associated with other broadcast networks such as Times Television Network, Star TV and MTV.
