FreeCharge ropes in Fareed Jawad as VP of Payments
Freecharge has roped in former Amazon executive Fareed Jawad as VP of Payments, reports Techcircle. He will be responsible for building payments technologies at Freecharge. At Amazon, Jawad was the principal product architect, responsible for building the payment processing infrastructure of the company. In December last year, Freecharge appointed Anshul Kheterpal as its Chief Financial Officer. He would be responsible for the digital payments business strategies at FreeCharge and Snapdeal.
Neelesh Talathi joins Pepperfry as CFO
Pepperfry has appointed Neelesh Talathi as the Chief Financial Officer, reports the Mint. He will be responsible for leading strategy, financial planning, accounting and legal and corporate affairs for the company. Prior to Pepperfry, Talathi was the CFO at Vedanta’s iron ore division, before which he worked for over 17 years at Hindustan Unilever in various capacities.
Snapdeal appoints Saurabh Bansal as VP & Head of Category Management
Snapdeal has appointed Saurabh Bansal as the Vice President and Head of Category Management. Bansal will be responsible for end to end category management and will focus on the expansion of product and brand assortment on Snapdeal through strategic partnerships. Prior to this, he worked as the VP – Merchandising Strategy at the same company. Before Snapdeal, he led strategy and new business initiatives at Jubilant Enpro, and has over 12 years of experience across retail, wholesale, buying and merchandising.
TranServ appoints Salil Mody & Ushpinder Singh
Payment company TranServ has appointed Salil Mody as its Senior Vice President – Corporate Strategy and Ushpinder Singh as the Senior Vice President & Head – Merchant Business. Singh will be responsible for the sales of the Udio product suite with a focus on API integrations and digital payment solutions, while Mody will be responsible for driving corporate strategy, initiatives like micro-credits, and inorganic growth. Prior to TranServ, Singh headed partnership and strategic alliances at MobiKwik, while Mody was at MasterCard, responsible for market development in South Asia.
Housing hires Dilip Tuli & Ashish Laghate
Real estate portal Housing has hired Dilip Tuli as Senior Vice President – Strategy and New Business Initiatives and Ashish Laghate as Assistant Vice President – Product. Tuli will be responsible for transaction facilitation and fulfilment services and other such new business initiatives while Laghate will focus on product development and innovation. Prior to Housing, Tuli was Director at KPMG and has over 15 years of consulting experience across different verticals, while Laghate was the founder of Healthtec, a product that provides real time health care and monitoring.
