Sharad Mehrotra, Apple’s enterprise mobility head in India, has quit the company, reports ET. Mehrotra is the co-founder and CEO of Hyve Mobility, which will apparently launch Android smartphones in March this year. According to the report, Hyve is targeting the Rs 15,000-20,000 segment with a flagship model. He co-founded the company with Aditya Agarwal. Previously, Mehrotra worked with CommScope Solutions as the regional manager for south for over a year, before which he worked in the same position at Airtel Enterprise Solutions for 4 years. He has also worked with Mudra Electronics as a business development manager for 4 years. *** Less than a year after working with Snapdeal as the senior vice president of marketing, Idi Srinivas Murthy has quit the company, reports ET. Murthy is set to launch a new venture, whose details are scant. Prior to joining Snapdeal, Murthy was the regional marketing director of Africa at GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare for over 2 years. He worked as the director of marketing for Thums Up and Flavors in Coca Cola India for over 4 years where he managed Thums Up, Sprite, Fanta, Limca. (More Snapdeal appointments here.)
