Mahindra Comviva, Tech Mahindra’s mobility solutions arm, has launched an Android and iOS app called Zerch, which offers local deals and product discovery in Bangalore and Delhi-NCR, reports VCCircle. Zerch offers deals from nearby merchants in food and beverages, spas, salons and apparel, accessories, books, gifts and electronics among other categories. According to the company’s blog, Zerch was launched in June in Bangalore and expanded to Delhi in September. As of now, the company claims to have 50,000 users. It also has an app for merchants which lets them manage their users, create offers, deals and promotions. Zerch currently lists deals from Max, United Colors of Benetton, Pizza Hut, Reliance Trends, Megamart, Sango, Kabab Magic, Mast Kalandar, The French Loaf, Lifestyle, Daily Bread, Green Trends, Cauvery Silk, O2 Spa and Burger King among others. The company claims that the app has 1,500 offline stores listed across the 2 cities and will onboard 5,000 merchants by March 2016. The report added that the app was doing close to 1,000 deals every week on the Android and iOS platforms. Developments in the deals and offers space: - Earlier this month, Groupon reported more than 0.51 million active deals globally for the quarter ended June 30, 2015, up from 0.24 million in the same quarter last year.
