Housing.com has appointed Abhishek Hota as its Chief of Staff. Hota will report to Housing’s CEO Jason Kothari, who was appointed just last week and be responsible for business initiatives, investor communication support and drive special projects. Before his elevation, Hota was the head of business strategy at the same company for almost 2 years, where he handled revenues and monetisation initiatives. Prior to that, he worked as a senior associate at Bain & Company for over 2.5 years, as an operations intern at ITC and the head of corporate sponsorships of IIT Bombay’s Mood Indigo festival. Other appointments: Following the tumultuous exit of the company’s co-founder and CEO Rahul Yadav, Housing was run by an executive committee that controlled its finances and operations. Earlier this month, Housing appointed Nikhil Rungta as its chief marketing officer. Last month, Housing appointed Nandini Mehta as general counsel where she would be responsible for defining the company’s legal framework. The same month, it also appointed Mani Rangarajan as its chief financial officer. Rangarajan would be responsible for financial strategy and planning. *** Zee Media has elevated Pooja Gupta from deputy VP of content strategy and marketing to the head of marketing, reports Indiantelevision. Gupta will be based in Noida and report to R K Arora, COO of Zee Media, who was her boss from her previous role.
