Ecommerce giant Flipkart has appointed Krishnendu Chaudhury as head of image sciences, reports ET. At Flipkart, Chaudhury will work towards developing Deep Learning Convolutional Neural Networks for object recognition in images and lead the development of computer vision and image processing technologies along with Peeyush Ranjan, Flipkart’s head of engineering. Previously, Chaudhury worked at Google as a part of Google Research’s machine intelligence team as well as with Advanced Technology Group of Adobe Systems. **** Indian handset manufacturer Micromax has appointed Ganish Bahl as its digital marketing head, reports AdAge.
