Quikr, an online and mobile classifieds firm, has launched a dedicated job search section that allows users to search for full-time, part time, freelancing and other employment-related opportunities, reports NextBigWhat. This is the latest step in developing more verticals within the horizontal for Quikr, and entering domains dominated by single-category vertical classifieds companies such as Info Edge (Naukri, 99Acres, Jeevansathi, Shiksha), People Interactive (shaadi, Makaan), Times Business Solutions (MagicBricks, TimesJobs, Simplymarry) and the erstwhile Consim Info (Matrimony.com, clickjobs and IndiaProperty). On Quikr's category expansion Quikr now has verticals for Real Estate (launched in April), Matrimony, Education, Electronics, among others. It has long gone beyond just people trying to sell their used products, and has been a mix of B2C (business to consumer) and C2C (consumer to consumer) marketplaces: something that its once parent company Ebay India was never really able to do. It's the re-emergence of horizontals, and wonder what kind of an impact it will have on existing verticals. Other Quikr related developments In August 2014: Quikr launched its Hindi App. In 2014: Quikr tied up with Amazon to let shoppers view and compare prices of second hand product listings on Junglee.com. In September 2014, it extended this partnership to integrate…
