Ecommerce giant Flipkart has launched an app for sellers called the ‘Seller Hub’, reports ET Tech. The app is available for free to all users, however a seller’s registration on Flipkart is required to use it. As of now, the app is only available for Android users. The app lets sellers get alerts on new orders, update stock count and pricing on listings and monitor payments and return. It also offers notifications when orders are placed and monitoring of payments and returns. The app appears to be in the nascent stages yet, with no features to check sales rank and other data, add new products or allow for direct messages to customers. @BipinSingh launched it silently. Flipkart Advantage is a fulfillment service for sellers, where products are sourced from sellers and the company manages stocking, packing and shipment, similar to fulfilled by Amazon. As of now, the app also asks sellers for feedback, presumably to improve features based on this feedback. Competition: Amazon also launched its seller app for its seller base in India earlier in March.
