Amazon.in has launched its seller app for its seller base in India. The app is available for free to all users, however a seller’s registration on Amazon.in is required to operate it. The app is currently available for both, Android and iOS devices and can be downloaded from Google Play, iTunes or the Amazon Appstore. Sellers using the app can update their inventories, confirm orders, check current prices, sales rank and customer reviews of items on Amazon, estimate the profitability of items before they are listed for sale and list new items to sell. Additionally, the app sends push notifications to sellers when buyers send them a message, allowing direct communication via the app. Other than this, the app also allows sellers to access account related notifications, monitor status of FBA inbound shipments sent to Amazon warehouses, and remotely monitor their inventory levels. Sellers can also view the sales summary for the same day, for the week or for the month using the app. Note that Amazon’s seller app has been around for a while internationally, however the service is only now available to Indian users.
