Ola hires Sunit Singh to head design and Yugantar Saikia for human resources

Online cab-hailing service Ola has hired Sunit Sigh as its vice-president of design and Yugantar Saikia as its vice-president of human resources. The new hires come at a time amid reports that Ola is in talks to acquire rival TaxiForSure with the deal size pegged at around $200-250 million. Yugantar brings over 16 years of global experience in setting up and expanding operations for companies like FICO, American Express and E&Y. In his previous role at FICO where he worked for 10 years, he led several initiatives like heading India operations for customer growth and customer services worldwide, managing large M&A integrations and setting up APAC landscape for the company. While, Sunit Singh earlier headed design  at Cleartrip and was responsible for the user experience of products across the board. He has been instrumental in setting the tone for Mobile products and led the recent redesign of the site. Prior to Cleartrip, he has led design at burrp! and Paper Plane. TaxiForSure had last raised an undisclosed amount of Series C investment from Accel Partners, Bessemer Venture Partners & Helion Venture Partners in August last year, just three months after securing $10 million investment whereas Ola had raised a major $210 million round led by SoftBank in October last year, two months after it had raised Rs 250 crore from Steadview Capital, Sequoia Capital & Tiger Global.
