Delhi-based BigFoot Retail Solutions owned e-commerce platform for SMEs and retailers, Kartrocket has raised close to $2 million in a Series A round of investment led by the technology venture investor Nirvana Venture Advisors. Japan-based Beenos (NetPrice) and existing investor 500 Startups also participated in this round. KartRocket had raised an undisclosed amount of funding in a seed round led by 5ideas Startup Superfuel, with participation from Dave McClure’s 500 Startups and angel investor Jatin Aneja, in July last year. KartRocket currently provides a do-it-yourself (DIY) e-commerce platform to cater to Indian e-commerce industries. The platform provides features such as design templates, domestic and international payment options including cash on delivery, a shipping platform (ShipRocket) and a shipping dashboard among others. It also allows retailers to integrate and manage orders across marketplaces like Amazon, Snapdeal and eBay. Other features include the ability to integrate coupons, marketing tools, gift certificates, Facebook selling, onsite SEO, Google Analytics and other custom apps. Kartrocket claims that it uses Amazon AWS and Akamai for content delivery to ensure faster load times for customers. The service currently offers over 100 design templates that work cross platform on any screen size, with each template apparently tailored to different industry needs. The company claims it currently has tie ups with 20 Indian software and service companies for offering related services like legal help, company formation, CRM software and loans, to its clients.
