Rameet Arora to replace former CMO Alok Jain at Zomato Rameet Arora, former senior director of Corporate Communication and Menu Management at McDonald’s India, has joined restaurant search and discovery platform Zomato as its Chief Marketing Officer, reports afaqs.com. Arora will replace former CMO Alok Jain, who had quit last month, just 10 months after his appointment. Rameet Arora started his career at Arms Communications in 1996, after which he moved to Rediff for close to a year, followed by a short stay at McCann-Erickson. He joined Leo Burnett in 2000 as a senior account supervisor where he worked for eight years, eventually as the director of corporate initiatives and the spearhead of the recruitment and reputation drive. He was also a part of Hindi GEC Colors' founding team, where he was responsible for new show launches, consumer pull and branding, before he joined McDonald’s in 2010. Arora has handled brands like Hitachi, McDonalds, UTI, Asia Pacific Breweries, Heinz, Future Group and Complan during his advertising career. Zomato is a food discovery platform which currently operates in 13 countries including, India, Brazil, Britain, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Turkey among others and claims to serve over 20 million unique visitors every month. The company has been on a global expansion drive over the past few months. Zomato acquired New Zealand-based online restaurant guide MenuMania in July, then expanded its South American presence by launching in Chile in the same month, and last month it acquired Czech Republic’s restaurant guide Lunchtime.cz and Slovakia’s restaurant guide Obedovat.sk…
