Mobile transactions contributed for more than 50% of Groupon's total transactions globally for the quarter ended June 30, 2014 (Q2 2014). Groupon APAC emerging markets head Ankur Warikoo told Medianama that Mobile accounts for 22% of its India business. The company mentioned that it reached an all-time high of transactions completed on mobile devices globally in June this year and its cumulative app downloads was nearly 92 million as June this year, up from 80 million as of March this year. Groupon however didn't disclose any specific information on the exact mobile transactions for the quarter or provide any region-wise split of its mobile transactions. Average active deals was more than 0.24 million globally at end of the quarter, up from 0.20 million in the previous quarter. Of this, North America region accounted for more than 0.11 million deals (105,000 deals) for the quarter. Units Sold: Vouchers and products sold before cancellations and refunds increased 79% year-on-year (YoY) to 83 million during the quarter. North America units increased by 8% YoY, while EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) units increased by 10% YoY and Rest of World units which includes India increased by 342% YoY. Active Customers: Groupon reported 16.1 million active customers in the rest of the world region, up from 15.5 million customers in the previous quarter and 9.6 million customers in the same quarters.
