Jaspreet Bindra, CEO of local information services firm GETIT Infomedia, has resigned. Bindra has confirmed his departure to MediaNama, but declined to specify his future plans, saying that there are "Lots of bigger things planned, within the Internet space. I'm not moving to becoming a full time entrepreneur." On the succession plan at GETIT, Bindra said that there is a leadership team in place at the company, and while he is transitioning over the next couple of months, the company will figure out a succession plan. Bindra had joined the firm in February last year. Prior to joining GETIT last year, Bindra spent six years at Microsoft, initially heading its Internet business, then its Retail, Entertainment and Devices business. Bindra was a part of the startup team at Baazee.com as its COO, and had started his career at the TATA Administrative Services, spending 11 years at the TATA group. GETIT is an Astro and Helion Ventures backed company, and has services across marketplace, classifieds and media, across web, voice, Mobile Apps, Print and SMS. Last month, the company changed its corporate branding to Askme for its consumer facing offerings, and in the process, renamed getitbazaar to AskmeBazaar.
