Gagan Singla, who was the VP-digital marketing at Quikr has joined Online education platform SimpliLearn as its chief marketing officer (CMO), reports IndiaInfoOnline. In his new role, Singla will head the marketing team with SEM, SEO, affiliate and brand responsibilities. Singla says he plans to use a scientific and data driven approach to market and scale the business globally. This news follows SimpliLearn's announcement to start operations in Singapore. He has over 12 years experience and has worked was responsible for Quikr's paid digital marketing including search, display, networks, affiliates and social initiatives. He had served as a Manager- Analytics Advisory with PWC and Deloitte for over five years. Simplilearn, which provides online training and professional certification courses was founded in 2009 by Krishna Kumar. In August 2012, the company secured $10 million from Helion Venture Partners and Kalaari Capital.
