New Amazon.in Stores Hindi Books: Amazon's India marketplace Amazon.in has launched a Hindi physical book store which claims to offer over 23,000 Hindi titles across various genres like literature and fiction from authors like Premchand, Gulzar, Javed Akhtar, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Kamaleshwar and Yashpal among others. It will also apparently offer Hindi translated versions of more than 800 English books along with reference books, textbooks and language learning books. The company also plans to launch books in other regional languages like Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali and Marathi soon. Cricket Merchandise: Just in time for Indian Premier League, Amazon has also launched a cricket store offering merchandise from various IPL teams and other cricket-related products like cricket bats, balls, kit bags, helmets, wickets and protective gear among others. Shoes: Earlier in the week, it also introduced an online shoe store which claims to offer more than 5000 styles of shoes for men, women and kids, from more than 50 international and Indian brands. This includes formal Oxford and Derby shoes, sports shoes, loafers, flats, stilettos, party-wear and flip-flops among others from Indian brands like Metro, Liberty and Lords and International brands like Crocs, Puma, Fila, Red Tape, Catwalk, Tresmode, Inc. 5, Disney, Converse, Havaianas and Carlton London among others. It will also offer shoe accessories like polishes, insoles, and brushes from brands like Woly and Cherry Blossom.
