Chile government run accelerator Startup Chile has inducted 100 startups into the ninth generation of its accelerator program. The accelerator noted that these startups were selected from more than 28 countries and India accounted for 9% of the startups in the current batch. The program offers $40,000 equity free seed capital, a one-year resident visa for any three team members mentioned during the application process and shared office space. The program will run for 24 weeks (around four months). Users can also browse through popular & recent panoramas and those around their location in the app and on their website. One can also follow other users to view their panoramas in an inbuilt panorama viewer within the app. While the app is free, it offers in-app purchases for feature upgrades like the ability to stitch panoramas later (to save battery life), Flashlight to take panoramas in low or bad lighting and Dropbox Sync among others. TeliportMe was part of 500 Startups's second startup batch and had raised seed investment from a series of angel investors like Idealab's Bill Gross, Vedanta Capital’s Alessandro Piol, Great Oaks Venture, 500 Startups and others.
