Netcore-owned Greynium Information Technologies which operates the online multi-lingual news portal OneIndia.in has launched a Bengali version of the site. OneIndia now has content portals in eight different languages - English, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati and Bengali. OneIndia has said that the new Bengali site will offer news stories including national, international, breaking news, sports, political developments, apart from films, jokes, picture galleries and videos, among others. The content on the homepage is localised with a mix of Bengal and national news. It also features a separate section for films with Bengali film news highlighted. It also has sports, politics, poll, technology sections, among others. OneIndia claims that the website has been built using Unicode and with responsive design for mobile users. Although OneIndia offers mobile apps for its other language websites including Tamil, Gujarati, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi, it is yet to launch an app for its Bengali website. When we checked, we noticed that the social reader integrated on any story page allows readers to share the story on social media, in both English and Bengali along with story link. Every story page also features a news feed from its Hindi website and video feed in English.
