Amazon is looking to expand their operations in India and plans to hire 13,500 people in Hyderabad over the next three years, reports Business Line. The report states that the company will hire 5,000 employees in the next two months. It is not clear how many of these will be related to its e-commerce venture here.
Last week, Amazon had also started selling cosmetic products with a special curated section for the upcoming wedding season. The company claims to sell over 5000 hair care, skin care and beauty products of brands including brands including Lakme, Revlon, Maybelline, L`Oreal Paris, Colorbar, Lotus Herbals, Oriflame, Olay, Dove, Garnier, among others. The company had also announced a free guaranteed two day delivery to select cities before Diwali.
IRCTC has added two new categories – luggage and books to its shopping portal powered by Yebhi, reports India Digital Review. The reports states that the website offers over 20,000 book titles including fiction, sci-fi, non-fiction, mystery, literature, bestsellers, among others while the luggage category offers over 150 products ranging from heavy to light travelling of brands such as Samsonite, Skybags, VIP, American Tourister, among others.

E-commerce marketplace Snapdeal has launched an information service called Price Search on SMS that allows people to search for the price of products on Snapdeal using a SMS, reports iamwire. According to the report, customers can send an SMS with the name of the product they want information about to 92789-92789 and the company would send an SMS of the list of products with their prices. Mobile data is not necessary to use this service and the service will be provided free of cost. Regular SMS charges are applicable.
