It looks like Stan Lee's Indian super hero character 'Chakra: The Invincible' has secured its first distribution deal: It will be aired as a movie on Cartoon Network next month (November 30, 2013 at 12pm). Chakra: The Invincible is Stan Lee's first super hero character for the Indian market and was jointly created by CA Media's graphic story telling company Graphic India and Stan Lee's POW! Entertainment. It is about a Mumbai teenager Raju Rai who develops a technology suit with his mentor and discovers superpowers when he dons the suit. ToonsTV Content Partnership: Last month, Angry Birds' maker Rovio Entertainment had announced that it had selected Chakra: The Invincible as one of the content partners for its online channel ToonsTV in 2014. Other third party content partners include Hasbro Studios, National Geographic Kids’ Amazing Animals, Jim Henson's Fraggle Rock, Oggy & the Cockroaches, Zig & Sharko, Space Goofs and others. Besides this distribution deals, Graphic India added that it also plans to launch a series of digital & print comic books and graphic novels based on the character, along with toys and merchandise. In August 2013, Graphic India had started an animated web series called 18 Days, which was a reinvention of the Mahabharata by the comic creator Grant Morrison. The series is available on Graphic India's YouTube channel in English, Hindi and Tamil. Last month, it had also stated plans to launch a comic series called Krrish: Menace of the Monkey Men, based on the Hrithik Roshan starrer Krrish film franchise.
