Porting requests were submitted for 2.03 million connections in the month of June 2013, according to the Indian Telecom regulator TRAI. This is a 10.99% increase from 1.83 million porting requests reported in May 2013. The TRAI has released data by circle, but in all fairness, it is important for the regulator to also release MNP information by telecom operator, the number of complaints registered against telecom operators now allowing users to port out, and look into instances of telcos not allowing users to port out.
