Digital entertainment business Hungama.com has partnered with Warner Bros. Digital Distribution to offer its full length feature films on Hungama Movies. The financial details and period of the deal were not disclosed. Content: The deal will allow Hungama to feature movies such as Gone With The Wind, The Shawshank Redemption, The Departed, The Blind Side, The Dark Knight series, the Harry Potter film series, and animated classics such as Tom & Jerry and Looney Tunes. Hungama claims that it currently offers more than 5000 film and video titles from Yash Raj Films, T-Series, Big Entertainment, UTV Movies, Star India, Shemaroo, Ultra Home, Ananda Audio Video Kavitalaya. It also claims that it has 50,000 paying subscribers. The content is available for download/streaming through PC, Smartphone platforms such as Android, iOS, BlackBerry, tablets, and connected TVs. The company claims that it serves its content to 47 countries across various platform. Hungama movies is available in India via two different monthly subscription plans – A Rs 149/month plan which allows subscribers to access SD content and Rs 249/month plan which allows subscribers to access SD and HD content. It's also worth noting that the service will continue to be available via the Intel Insider platform, indicating that the movies will be DRM-locked. In October 2012, Hungama had extended its on-demand movie service to UAE and Middle East, targeting the Non Resident Indian (NRI) and South Asian community present in these regions.
