Update: Homeshop18 has clarified that the turnover figure mentioned (Rs 225.4 crore) is the net turnover, and their gross turnover is above Rs 1000 crore. Our take on this is that while it’s market practice to quote gross turnover, it’s the net turnover that should be used for comparison.

CoinJoos Acquisition: Network18 has revealed that HomeShop18 had acquired the online books portal CoinJoos for a total consideration of Rs 5 crore, out of which Rs 4 crore was subject to CoinJoos promoters continuing to work in HomeShop18. The employment period hasn’t however been disclosed.
Further, as per the agreement, the consideration was payable upon achievement of certain milestones and the company has presented an amount of Rs 2.75 crore as a current liability, which shall be paid as stipulated in the agreement.
