VidTeq Introduces VideoMaps For Hyderabad & Chennai

Bangalore based VidTeq, which provides VideoMaps, has launched in Hyderabad and Chennai. The company now provides video maps in three cities including Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai. VidTeq was founded by Chandra Thimmannagari, Navada Muraleedhara and Ravi Narala and started to offer video based navigation services in February 2009. Through its patented VideoMap technology, which comprises of a video clip of the complete route between source and destination with media such as business logos, background music, turn-by-turn audio overlay, road names and others, embedded into it, it offers video directions and location search solutions. Its current clients include IIIT Bangalore, Snap fitness India, among others. In 2011, it raised Series A funding from KITVEN, a Bangalore based VC fund. It also provides VideoMaps on its website where one can either look for directions or a location on the site. The video directions just plays clips of roads that are in the direction of the route. Along with the video maps, the site also displays normal map with images of popular locations that fall in the direction of the route. One can also look for brands outlets such as McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut, Dominos, Papa John's, among others around the route selected. In addition, to online video navigation enabled maps, the company also offers mapping and video navigation solutions to businesses: - WayFinder/Store Locator: A service that enables organizations to embed video based driving directions to their location, on their website.
