July 25, 2013: Buyt.in has raised $1 million funding from ValueFirst Digital Media Pvt Ltd, reports Techcircle. Following the investment, ValueFirst CEO Vishwadeep Bajaj will join the board of the company. The funds raised will be used to expand its operations in Middle East and South East Asia, and hiring sales & marketing team. June 26, 2013: Online shopping search engine site Buyt.in has raised $1 million from an undisclosed digital marketing company based in Delhi-NCR, reports iamwire, citing that the official announcement will be made by end of July. The digital marketing firm will also act as a strategic partner for the company and handle its marketing operations, as indicted by the report. Buyt.in co-founder Simran told the publication that the funds raised will be used to expand team size, optimize website, and expand to international markets. Buyt.in is a product search engine and price comparison search engine. The company claims that it has partnered with more than 100 E-commerce portals to list products from their site. When we checked, the site listed products from Snapdeal, Croma, Flipkart, among others. One can just search for generic search term such as 32 inch LCD TV or search for specific product. The site lists products from all the E-Commerce stores that it's available from. One can filter products based on price and brands if it's a generic search and also sort the search results based on relevance, price and discounts.
