NH7 Launches Event Discovery Service InTown

NH7.in, the music streaming and discovery platform focused on independent music, has launched a location based service - NH7 InTown, that lets one discover new things to do in a city. The service appears to be initially available only in Mumbai, with plans to extend the service to Pune, Delhi and Bangalore. It si currenrly available on the web and on Android and iOS as a free download. We tried out the Android app and noticed that one can login with with their NH7, Facebook or Twitter credential or create a new NH7 account by providing requisite details like name, email address and password to use the service. Once logged in, the app displays curated list of experiences called 'featured experiences' on the home tab. It's currently not clear how NH7 decides on which experiences are included in the featured list. One can filter these experiences based on various categories such as Movies, Music, Theatre & Comedy, Art, Food, workshops, outdoor activities and more. One can also set the date and venue where they want to search for experiences through the settings menu. There is also a keyword based search bar , which opens up once a user clicks on the menu button at the top left corner and allows one to search for their preferred events.   On Individual event pages, the app offers event description, location, time, and cost of the event, along with the distance of the venue from user's current location.
