Chile government run accelerator Startup Chile has announced its seventh generation with 100 startups. About 10% of the startup in the 7th generation are from India and the 100 startups selected come from 28 different countries. The accelerator claims that IT & Enterprise Software is the most strongly identified industry (20% of the selected), which is then followed by e-commerce (15%) Mobile & Wireless (10%), and Education (10%). Remaining categories include Social Media, Healthcare & Biotechnology, Energy & Clean Tech, Social Enterprise and Tourism, among others. The program offers $40,000 equity free seed capital and a temporary 1-year visa to develop their projects for six months, work space, and connections. While the organization notes that 10% of the startups were Indian Startups, it hasn't disclosed any specific breakdown based on the country. We have contacted Startup Chile for an entire list of Indian startups and will update the article once we get a response. In the meantime, here are the Indian startups that we discovered in the current batch: Bitrockr: Bitrockr lets users track and analyze all their personal data in one central platform, enabling them to make better-informed life decisions. MicroSolar: MicroSolar develops ultra low-cost solar electronics. It claims that its patent pending technology offers small scale solar installations at 72.4% less cost. It also offers plug-n-play implementation. Motorpaneer: Motorpaneer is an online portal for car buying.
