MapmyIndia has inked an exclusive partnership with Tata Motors to offer in-dash GPS navigation system in the Tata Vista D90. While the terms of the agreement were not disclosed, the company informed that the integrated GPS navigation system will be available as a standard feature in the Tata Vista D90 ZX+ model and car owners do not have to pay anything extra to avail this service. It looks like MapmyIndia will include the recently launched v8.0 Maps on the D90 ZX+ model, since the company says that it will provide car owners with updated map coverage covering 10.33 million places, 1.9 million road kilometers, 600,000 villages, 4,787 cities at street-level, 50 cities at house-level, 46 cities in full 3D driving directions to 30,000 tourist locations, among others. The navigation system will also offer features like extended lane guidance, sign-posts, rich points of interest, regional voice guidance and regional maps, turn-by-turn and voice-guided navigation, 3D imagery for India which includes full‐scale 3D landmarks across the country and 3D city models which will include 3D buildings for residential and commercial areas across 36 major cities in India. This agreement follows similar partnerships inked by MapmyIndia last year. In November 2012, MapmyIndia had partnered with a series of car makers to offer its GPS solutions on a range of car models.
