With the sixth edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) kicking off later today, micro-blogging site Twitter has partnered with the IPL Management to develop several applications and features, in a bid to provide an interactive experience for all the cricket fans. Here is what the company plans to do during the IPL tournament: Discover Page: Twitter has setup a dedicated IPL events page at discover.twitter.com/IPL. At the time of writing this article, the page featured a Twitter list widget, showcasing all the tweets from a list curated by Twitter India. It has also listed the Twitter accounts of all IPL related personalities, which includes Official IPL team accounts and their owners like Shah Rukh Khan (Kolkata Knight Riders), Preity Zinta (Kings XI Punjab), Vijay Mallya (Royal Challengers Bangalore), Shilpa Shetty (Rajasthan Royals) and Gurunath Meiyappan (Chennai Super Kings); Official accounts of IPL players divided by teams and finally the IPL Management team accounts like Rajiv Shukla and Sundar Raman and official accounts of IPL sponsors like Pepsi, Vodafone India and SET Max among others. Each of the Twitter accounts also has a 'Follow' button, allowing users to instantly follow their preferred Twitter accounts. The company also says that the page will allow users to browse through tweets that include the hashtag #PepsiIPL, however, we weren't able to find it at the time of writing this article. Twitter Magic Mirror: Twitter said that it will also be using its Magic mirror application throughout the tournament, to allow cricketers and celebrities to tweet out pictures through the official @IPL account.
