Debit card transactions have steadily been rising among State Bank of India customers, data procured from the bank via the Right To Information Act by MediaNama has revealed. The number of transactions in November 2012 were 61.61% higher than in November 2011, while the amount transacted was higher by 90.3% for the same two months. The average amount transacted in November 2012 was 17.75% higher than the amount transacted in November 2012.
