Samsung launched its new Galaxy S4 flagship phone and a series of software announcements at an event held in New York's Radio City Music Hall. Here’s a quick lowdown of all the announcements made by the company: Hardware Samsung announced its next flagship smartphone called The Galaxy S4. The Galaxy S4 will feature a 5 inch full HD super AMOLED screen with Corning's Gorilla Glass 3 and 1080p resolution. It's worth noting that the device comes with very little bezel on the sides of the screen. While all other Galaxy devices were fully made of plastic, the company said that Galaxy S4 will come with a polycarbonate line on the sides. Connectivity-wise, the device will have 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and Cat 3 100 / 50 Mbps LTE, NFC and an IR blaster. What's interesting is that the S4 will feature a removable 2,600mAh battery, while other phone makers are opting for non-removable batteries in their newer devices. Apart from that, the phone will have 2GB of RAM, and will be available in three storage variants - 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. The Asian and European variants of the device will have Samsung Exynos 5 processor, while the American variant will have Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad core processor. Besides this, the Galaxy S4 will sport a 13 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, support for 1080p video capture and 2 megapixel front camera.
