Infosys has partnered with India Post to develop and manage a Service Delivery Platform (SDP) that will allow more than 130,000 rural post offices to offer online services. While the financial details of the partnership were not disclosed, the company said that this platform will also manage more than 130,000 handheld devices used by rural post office employees to distribute social benefits under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act and process Electronic Money Orders. Additionally, Infosys will also help India Post in its Rural Systems Integration (RSI) program. The company said that this platform will be developed by using its in-house solutions like mConnect, TruSync and Finacle Inclusion. mConnect is an enterprise solution which enables mobile services for websites and eCommerce platforms, while TruSync is a data synchronization solution, which syncs data from different database systems present in mobile devices, desktops, and Web services and Finacle Inclusion solution enables banks to offer various banking products and services like Mobile banking, e-banking and direct banking among others to the underbanked and unbanked population. Financial Services: Prior to this tie-up, Infosys had partnered with India Post in August 2012, to develop financial services operations and end-user experience for more than 200 million banking customers across urban and rural India, which included a large base of insurance customers. under IndiaPost's Financial Service System Integration program.
