Real estate and apartment management portal CommonFloor.com, has launched a Android app called CommonFloor Property India, that lets users search properties for buying or renting. The app is currently available as a free download on the Google Play Store and the company also plans to launch an iOS app shortly. App Features When we checked, we noticed that the app allows one to search for a property or a project based whether they are buying a property or renting it. One can also search for a property based on the city, its location within the city, type of a property (apartment, villa, independent house, row house, and plot), number of rooms, budget and size of the property (in sq. ft). We noticed that one can search for property listings within the app without registering for the service, however if they want to save their search results or post a new property listing, they would have to sign up for the service. One can register for the service by using their Facebook, Yahoo or Google account credentials or by filling up a simple form with requisite details from within the app. One can click on any specific property listing to find out more details about it, including amenities available, approvals issued by local authorities, banks which can issue loans for purchase and floor plans. Interestingly, the app also enables one to calculate the distance of a specific property from the nearest school, hospital, mall, airport, railway station and restaurants among others.
