Ozonetel, a Indian cloud telephony player has inked a strategic partnership with another cloud telephony company, Resolvity Information Technologies (Resolvity Inc, USA), to acquire the customers of Resolvity's VoiceGain product. While the financial details of the partnership was not disclosed, Ozonotel stated that it will be transitioning all these customers to its own cloud telephony solution Kookoo. Chaitanya C, the Principal Architect at Ozonetel, told Medianama that the acquired customers from VoiceGain have been assigned to its business phone solution BizPhone and its contact centre solution Cloud Agent, depending upon the nature of service required by the customer and around 95% of the customers have been assigned to BizPhone. He also noted that the customers will be billed as per their agreement with VoiceGain and Ozonetel will be sharing a percentage of their profits with Resolvity for specific time period, however he didn't disclose any specific information on this. Resolvity Shutting Shop With this development, Resolvity will be winding down its operations in India, barely a year after entering the country. The company had entered India in February 2012 and had launched a cloud telephony solution for Indian small and medium enterprises called VoiceGain. The company had said that this solution will allow businesses to store, manage and track telephone sales enquiries and leads. Chaitanya said that Resolvity has now shifted its interest from the Indian market and plans to focus on other markets outside of India. He also mentioned that Resolvity employees have been absorbed into Ozonetel and the Resolvity office is expected to be shut down by the end of next month. Kookoo Platform Ozonetel…
