Shankar Halder has stepped down as the Head of network operations (India and South Asia), Bharti Airtel, reports The Times Of India. Citing a company executive familiar with the development, the report states that Halder will be launching his own technology consulting firm. Halder had worked at Bharti Airtel for 10 years, in various roles in the company's mobility, fixed and broadband, media and technology sector. Prior to this, he's also had stints at Escotel communication ltd and Modi Telstra in different roles. Last November, Amrita Gangotra, Director-IT & CIO (India & South Asia) at Bharti Airtel had also resigned for the company. While it was not entirely clear where Gangotra was headed next at that time, it was indicated that Gangotra will be joining Vodafone UK. Confirming this, her LinkedIn profile suggests that Gangotra has joined Vodafone UK as its Head of Enterprise Technology. A Bharti spokesperson has also informed the publication that it has appointed Moti Gyamlani as the Global Head - Supply Chain, Bharti Airtel while S Asokan, Executive Director - Supply Chain, Bharti Airtel, has resigned from his position. Moti Gyamlani was previously serving as General Electric's Vice President for its global supply chain and has worked in Honeywell and General Motors India in various roles. On the other hand, S Asokan has been working as Airtel's director for supply chain since June 2006 and was a member of the Bharti Airtel management board.
