Vuclip, a mobile video and media company, has announced that its Vuclip Video app, exclusively available on the Nokia Asha handsets and other Nokia Series 40 devices, has crossed 1 million downloads globally in November 2012. The app was launched in August 2011 and is available for download on the NokiaStore for Nokia Asha and other Series 40 devices. The company claims that in recent months, the app has been witnessing an increase in downloads from countries such as Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. However, India led the country tally with an average of over 60% of downloads since its launch. The Vuclip Video app serves global content from categories such as Bollywood, Hollywood and International movies, music, news, sports, celebrities, women, health and career. **** Sify Technologies, the NASDAQ listed Indian Internet and IT firm, has announced that its portal, Sify.com, garnered 5 million unique visitors in October 2012, according to the data reported by ComScore. The average daily visitors grew by 16.06% and the percentage of dedicated visitors increased to 70%. The company claims that Sify.com is now witnessing a 61% YoY growth. It should be noted that the company had recently reported in its quarterly report that Sify.com is grew by 34% year-on-year (YoY) by September 30, 2012, citing comScore metrics.
