Opera Software, the browser company, which brings out its State of the Mobile Web (SMW) report, tracking mobile browsing trends on the basis of Opera Mini (its mobile browser) usage, has reported an increase in visits to E-Commerce sites in the last year. Apart from that, news sites, local and international, remain the top most visited sites, making up 30% of the total. Highlights: - An analysis of top 200 domains shows that news websites made up 30% of the total visits, e-commerce 14%, social networking 9%, education 7% and travel 6.5%. - E-commerce is on the rise, with top three e-commerce sites being Quikr, Amazon and Flipkart. - Mobile customization focused sites like Zedge and Mobile9 continue to make it to the top 10 lists of international sites. - Cricket related websites retained their position.
