Info Edge (India) has invested Rs 5 crore (or Rs. 50 million) in Happily Unmarried Marketing Private Limited for about 25% stake of the company, on a fully diluted and converted basis, according to a BSE filing. The filing states that Happily Unmarried has raised this capital through optionally convertible cumulative redeemable preference shares and it intends to use the capital to expand its online business through its website Happilyunmarried.com. Established in 2003, Happily Unmarried currently designs and sells fun merchandise through its online portal and a chain of offline stores in India, France and United Kingdom. In India, the company claims to have seven brand outlets across the country, including four outlets in Delhi and one outlet each in Goa, Shillong and Chandigarh. It also claims to have presence in multi-brand outlets in 22 cities including Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Surat and Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum). Besides this, the company also seems to conduct music festivals, and do corporate projects like corporate gifting. The company website also suggests that it has recently started partnering with various corporates for projects involving branding, communication, interiors, and marketing among others. Some of its clients include Malayala Manorama, NDTV Good Times, CNBC Awaaz, Radio Mirchi, Britannia, Vodafone, ESPN Star Sports, National Geographic Channel and Scullers among others.
