S Mobility* has reported a total income of Rs 543.8 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012, recording a 6.31% increase from Rs 511.5 crore income in the previous quarter and a 0.9% increase from Rs 538.6 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. It reported a net profit of Rs 4.5 crore during the quarter, compared to Rs 3.7 crore loss in the previous quarter. The company’s mobile devices segment reported a total revenue of Rs 483.3 crore, up by 1.02% from Rs 478.4 crore reported in the same quarter last year. Segment result or Loss before tax and interest, for mobile devices was Rs 1.1 crore, significantly lower from Rs 14.9 crore reported in the last quarter, and decreased by 47.619% from Rs 2.2 crore that it reported in the same quarter last year. The company’s services business reported a total revenue of Rs 60.5 crore, up 4.67% from Rs 57.8 crore in last quarter and up by 3.34% from Rs 60.2 crore in the same quarter last year. The segment result or profit before tax and interest, for services was Rs 60 lakh, significantly lower from Rs 8.3 crore it reported in the same quarter last year.
