iXiGO, the online travel meta search engine, has inked a deal with Dainik Bhaskar, to power travel planning for all Dainik Bhaskar group portals including Bhaskar.com, DivyaBhaskar.com and DivyaMarathi.in. While the financial details of the partnership remained undisclosed, iXiGO stated that this partnership will allow visitors to Bhaskar group portals to compare fares across various online travel agents, airline websites and bus service providers. The company claims to offer travel information, deals, fares, schedules and availability from more than 150 travel websites as well as the ability to compare hotel rates across more than 250,000 hotels globally. When we checked, we noticed a iXiGo widget in the sidebar across all the group portals, which allowed visitors to check flight, hotel and bus availability. There is also a dedicated travel section in the navigation bar which leads to an iXiGO search engine, hosted on the respective group portal. We also noticed iXiGO's banner ads in the sidebar of all group portals, although we are not sure if these ads were displayed as part of the agreement. *** HCL Infosystems has inked a deal with the Naspers and Tencent owned Ibibo to pre-load Ibibo's mobile browser ‘iBrowser‘ on all its forthcoming tablet devices. HCL had previously pre-loaded iBrowser on HCL ME U1 and HCL ME Y2 Android tablets.
