LurnQ, a digital learning platform run by Mumbai-based Technium Labs Pvt Ltd, has raised an initial round of funding from Seedfund, as reported by Techcircle. The report claims that the funds raised will be utilised to develop more digital content, and to hire people. Note that, Techcircle was not able to confirm the funding from Seedfund. We have we were not able to get in touch with the founders, and have written to Seedfund for a confirmation. We'll update this post as we hear from them. Technium, that runs LurnQ, was founded in 2011 by Tarun Mitra, Rajshekhar Ratrey, Ramesh Nidadavolu and Devvrat Arya. LurnQ is a digital learning platform where users can post collection of articles/videos to create a lesson. Other LurnQ users can follow the posts and comment on the topics. What's interesting is that since the website is essentially a content aggregation platform, with categories and tags to filter the content, LurnQ users can use it for a wide variety of topics like --such as a Travel guide on Romania, or social media marketing. Currently, the website is in alpha stage and offers invite only login. Since the website is essentially a database of knowledge collection articles, users can integrate content from websites like encyclopaedias, videos on YouTube, and other knowledge sites like eHow.com and about.com, in a structural manner under the topic. We'll update this post as we receive an invite.
