The consolidation of digital agencies in India continues: the Publicis Groupe has announced the acquisition of performance marketing firm Resultrix. The price of acquisition has not been disclosed, but this adds to the Publicis Groupe's existing rollup of digial media businesses: earlier this year it acquired digital marketing and web development firm Indigo Consulting, and in October 2010, it had acquired PR firm 2020 Media, of which social media consulting firm 2020 Social is a part. Resultrix will operate as a unit within Performics, under the name ‘Resultrix, a Performics Company’. Its founders, Vidur Luthra, CEO, and Gulrez Alam, COO, will continue to lead the agency and will report into Daina Middleton, Global CEO for Performics and Gareth Mulryan, Managing Director of Performics, Asia Pacific. Resultrix founded in 2008, has offices in India, Singapore, the UAE and the USA. According to a statement, the company says it has an employee base of over 100 people, and offers services including search engine optimization, search engine marketing, online media, web-design, analytics, media buying, social media strategy, and mobile marketing, with performance-based business models. Resultrix’s clientele comprises both companies like Corbis Corporation, Max Bupa, Standard Chartered Bank, Airtel, Cleartrip, DBS Bank and Emirates National Bank, among others. Recently, the WPP group acquired 51% in Hungama's digital agency arm, via JWT Singapore. Ad: Our advertising coverage is brought to you by Indiatimes
