E-commerce company Infibeam has now extended its self-service e-commerce backend platform BuildaBazaar to travel segment, allowing travel agents to setup their own travel e-commerce stores. The service will allow store owners to access travel inventory from various travel industry partners including flights, hotels and buses and earn commission for each booking made on their site. In addition, store owners can also add their own local travel inventory and focus on specific tours and packages depending on the season and the location. Packages: The service is currently available in different monthly packages starting at Rs 1000 Silver plan for a basic e-commerce store for individual agents, going up to Rs 2500 Gold plan for businesses and a custom platinum plan for corporates. There is also an initial setup fee of Rs 35,000 and Rs 70,000 in case of Silver and Gold plans respectively. Expectedly, the seller commission also varies based on the plan, while the silver plan offers 3% commission on airline bookings and 5% on other travel bookings like Hotel, Bus, Car rental; the gold plan offers 5% commission on airline bookings and 7% on other travel bookings like Hotel, Bus, and Car rental. Started in May 2011, Buildabazaar is a self-service e-commerce platform which allows businesses to create their own web stores, upload their own product catalog, organize their merchandise, make their own PG (payment gateway) integration, track orders and sell it on Infibeam.com and Infibeam Affiliate stores in addition to their own private stores.
