Mycity4Kids.com, an online guide for parents in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, and Bangalore, has raised an undisclosed angel funding from YourNest Angel Fund, reports Techcircle. The exact amount of the investment has not been disclosed but according to the report, it is estimated to be around Rs 3-5 crore ($0.6-1 million). The amount raised will be used to expand to more cities, strengthen technology adoption, enhance customer satisfaction and scale up the current team and cover more cities, according to the company. Mycity4kids provides information on playschools, schools, tuitions, hobby classes, sports academy, events and summer camps in their region. Apart from that, the website also offers details on places where parents could host birthday parties for their kids or buy birthday cakes, gifts, and others. Parents can share their favorite schools, events, camps, shops, among others or mark already submitted shops and institutes, as favorites. Parents can also share their experiences at various institutes or events/camps. The business model seems to follow the conventional format where the site acts as a sales platform for local businesses to promote their businesses. Mycity4kids was founded by Vishal Gupta, Prashant Sinha, and Asif Mohamed in 2010. With the funding received, Mycity4kids will extend its services in Mumbai and Bangalore from July 15. Over the next three years, it intends to foray into the top 16 cities of the country, according to the report by Techcircle. Girish Shivani, director at YourNest Angel Fund will be joining the board at Mycity4kids post investment.
