Balaji Telefilms CEO Puneet Kinra Puts In His Papers

Balaji Telefilms Ltd has informed via a stock exchange filing with the BSE, that Puneet Kinra, Group Chief Executive Officer of Balaji Telefilms, has resigned from the Company effective May 31, 2012. Puneet Kinra joined Balaji Telefilms in 2008 where he was responsible for all businesses of Balaji – Television, Motion Pictures and New Media. Prior to joining Balaji Telefilms, he was the CEO of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where he served as the Associate Director of its Investment Banking practice. It is not clear where he'll be heading next and his LinkedIn profile still displays that he works at Balaji Telefilms. According to Balaji's official website, Kinra spearheaded 'Hoonur', Balaji's new media property which started out as a talent search platform and transformed into a social network. Balaji Telefilms Ltd was started in 1994 by Jeetendra Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor. Based in Mumbai, they make a range of television serials for Zee TV, Sony TV and Colors.
