Tanla Solutions, the mobile VAS company, has posted a total revenue of Rs 39.77 crore for the quarter ending March 30, 2012, recording a significant 44.45% decline from Rs 71.58 crore in the same quarter, last year. Tanla reported a major loss of Rs 73.35 crore for the quarter, compared to a profit of Rs 2.21 crores in the corresponding quarter last year. According to the company, the loss for the quarter increased due to an additional goodwill write off of Rs 9.67 crore and Rs 13 crore provided for bad debts on reconciliation of debtors. For the fiscal 2012, Tanla posted revenues of Rs 175.37 crores, a significant 41.04% decline from FY11's revenues of Rs 297.44 crores. The net loss stood at Rs 151.86 crores, compared to a profit of Rs 8.84 crores in the previous fiscal. During the quarter, Tanla reported a major decline in its overseas revenues to Rs 33.63 crores from Rs 67.90 crore reported in the corresponding quarter last year, while the domestic revenues increased to Rs 6.14 crores from Rs 3.69 crores in the same quarter last year. For the fiscal 2012, the company reported overseas revenues of Rs 152.68 crores and domestic revenues of Rs 22.68 crores as compared to FY11's overseas revenues of Rs 287.83 crores and domestic revenues of Rs 9.61 crores.
