Nokia Asha 202 Launched In India: 100MB Data, 40 EA Games Free

After music, Nokia appears to be now focusing on bundling free data for those purchasing its handsets in India: Nokia Asha 202, the dual-SIM touch & type phone which was announced during the Mobile World Congress 2012 earlier this year, has been launched in India and is available at a retail price of Rs 4,149 (around $79).  Data Partnership Nokia has tied up with five lead operators – Aircel, Airtel, Reliance, Tata Docomo, and Vodafone  across the country to offer 100 MB of free data  per month for six months on the purchase of the handset. Nokia had previously tied up with Airtel and Vodafone to offer free 2GB 3G data on purchase of Nokia Lumia 800. In that context, 100 MB isn't much, but it does indicate that the company does perceive that consumers would find value in free data when purchasing a handset. Content Partnerships Nokia has also partnered with EA Games to offer games the Nokia Asha 202 which makes it the first Series 40 device to come with EA Games. As a 60-day promotion at Nokia Store, the consumers can avail 40 EA game pack worth Rs 4,000 for  free. The offer includes popular and classic titles like Tetris, Need for Speed, The Run and Bejeweled. It also comes with pre-loaded third party apps such as Nimbuzz IM client. Hardware Specifications and price: Nokia Asha 202 comes with a 2.4-inch  resistive touch screen display with 240x320 pixel resolution and is also equipped with traditional T9 keypad.…
